What are Policies and Objects?
Policies define a team's experience within the platform. Objects are the building blocks of policies, allowing for customization of the platform and its offerings. They work together to create a flexible and adaptable environment.
Policy and Object Relationships
Policies are linked to teams to manage access and costs. Each team requires a resource policy and a pricing policy. When a team is created, a Full Administrator chooses these policies; standard users receive default policies. API creation defaults to the current default policies if none are specified.
Types of Policies and Their Impact
The combination of pricing and resource policies enables various packaging and billing scenarios. These include:
No Commitment - Arrears Billing for Usage
Commitment - Arrears Billing for Commit + Any Usage Above Commit
Prepaid Package with Specific Resources Included - Arrears Billing For Usage Above Commit
Prepaid Package with Specific Resources Only
